Community access and integration manager
Advocates for Immigrant Rights is seeking someone to fill the role of Community Access and Integration Manager.
DESCRIPTION: This position is full-time, requires the ability to speak English and Spanish fluently. This position serves the Community Access and Integration Program, which supports clients of Advocates for Immigrant Rights (AIR) through client advocacy, outreach, referrals, support groups, and educational programming. The role of this position is to continually pursue and maintain collaborative partnerships with social service organizations throughout the Mid-South in order to ensure that our clients can access available resources and integrate their lives into our community for the long term.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee Community Access and Integration Program
Working with ED to set program goals, develop processes to collect and assess data
Prepare and submit reports evaluating outcomes and deliverables
Program specific grant writing
Program specific budgeting
Ensure organized record keeping
Cultivate relationships with a wide variety of social service programs within AIR’s service area that can serve as resources to AIR clients
Work to develop client-facing educational and outreach materials, including social media, client newsletters, etc.
Supervise Client Advocates and provide support where Client Advocates are inexperienced or unprepared for certain issues
Maintain a structure and process for case management and ensure that case management is thorough and effective
Engage in case conferences with Legal Staff regarding clients with issues affecting client’s ability to participate in their legal case
Engage in difficult conversations alongside Client Advocates with clients around past trauma or helping to explain difficult concepts or disappointing news
Designing plans in collaboration with attorneys and Client Advocates to protect clients from retraumatization
Case management where necessary
Prepare and present trainings on issues effecting staff
Identify and arrange for trainings for clients on issues identified by CAIP and Legal Staff
Oversee campaigns or initiatives to provide needed services to clients
Update and maintain resource guides for services and resources across AIR’s service area with the specific representative(s) contact for each organization and notes about how the resource serves our clients
QUALIFICATIONS
Fluency in Spanish required
Advanced degree in social work
At least 3-4 years relevant experience
Working knowledge of social service resources
Excellent communication skills
High level of empathy and sensitivity to the needs of others
Cultural competency to work with a diverse client population
Salary and Benefits
Salary for this full-time position is $50,000 to $55,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience, excellent benefits including health insurance coverage and generous paid time off as well as the opportunity to participate in a group SIMPLE IRA plan and federal loan forgiveness eligibility.
